明天您用什么去教学?

As this is a community driven project, we need you and your help to bring openSUSE into the schools. We do not want to create a new distro out of this or a fork that requires large amounts of code maintenance, since that would be futile. We only want to add certain packages and features that pertain specifically to educators and student users alike

Even if you say "I'm not a programmer" - we need you! You can test new packages, help other users, describing applications - or just write new stories about openSUSE in your school here in the wiki.

Create Account(s)

To write stories in the openSUSE-Wiki or build packages in the Buildservice, you need an official openSUSE-Account.

If you like to work more directly for openSUSE-Education, you need also an account on http://www.opensuse-education.org/.

Write HowTos

There are many applications that are just waiting for review and some longer "how tos" to use the sofware in educational environments. Have a look at the pages with available packages and feel free to create new wiki pages for packages with a "broken" link:

Submit Bugs

Please use http://bugs.opensuse-education.org/ to submit bugs in our Edu-CD or online repository. You don't need any account to do this. Just fillout the form correctly and we will try to solve the error.

Write News

If you have news to share with other people in the openSUSE-Education community, just submit these news on http://www.opensuse-education.org/ (use the left menu entry to open the submission form). If you like, you can also submit your news to http://news.opensuse.org/ - we will do this for you if you like.

Add packages to the wishlist

We have an own wishlist for packages missing in openSUSE-Education. Feel free to add your favorite application there. As checking these website is very time consuming, please check the other wishlists bevore you enter your package here.

Help in packaging and development

Have a look at our development pages to get an overview about things that are missing a developer.

Join our team

Feel free to join our openSUSE-Education Team everywhere, everytime. As you can see in the list above: we need everyone to help us with this big project!
